Prepping for Wedding Season

Yesterday I RSVP'd to two weddings – kicking off the first of many for 2014 wedding season. The weddings are back-to-back in late June, a month typically offering warm temperatures and long, sunny days.

Looking ahead to wedding season, I am prepping in two key ways:
kicking my butt at the gym and browsing for the perfect dress. I am a ridiculously goal-oriented, especially in regards to fitness and health, and while I don't have a magic number I am aiming for on the scale, I have a few goals I want to achieve before hitting "buy now" on my online shopping cart.

So as I sweat my way through spin classes I am keeping my eyes on these flirty numbers. Plus, with temperatures still in low single-digits, I have yet to step outside in my peep-toe shoes, let alone a sleeveless dress!

I love the soft floral pattern and flirty skirt on this dress.
I would likely have it shortened – the higher neckline begs for a shorter skirt length.

I am not adverse to wearing black to a wedding, however I would prefer to
wear a soft colour or floral pattern. However, the back on this dress is stunning.
I am drawn to the detail – the feminine lace and strappy cross-over is alluring.

Le Chateau - Chiffon Print Halter
Halter tops are a trend I never embraced. I like the idea of a low back dress, but the halter neckline always seems to look awkward on my frame. Despite my hesitation to wear a halter top, I love the whimsical patter on this dress. The colour is elegant and I love the hemline.
